Why We Run Service Specials — and What They Actually Mean

Service specials at Friendly PowerSports aren’t loss leaders designed to get you in the door so we can upsell you on work you don’t need. They’re straightforward discounts on services we perform every day, offered to make routine maintenance easier to justify and to reward customers who keep their machines on a proper service schedule. 

A machine that gets regular oil changes, seasonal inspections, and timely brake service costs significantly less to own over five years than one that runs to failure and gets repaired reactively. The specials on this page exist to make the scheduled maintenance choice a little more obvious. That’s the whole pitch. 

Every offer is honored exactly as described. The service team knows about the specials on this page. There is no fine print that cancels the offer at the service counter.

Seasonal Service Calendar — When to Book What 

Understanding the Northshore and Gulf Coast service rhythm helps you plan ahead and avoid the windows when our schedule fills fast. 

February–April: WaveRunner pre-season rush The Gulf Coast and Lake Pontchartrain riding season starts earlier than most of the country. WaveRunner spring launch service appointments fill in February and early March. If you want your machine in the water for the first warm weekend, schedule in January. The spring WaveRunner discount on this page is specifically for this window — early scheduling earns the deal. 

March–May: Peak ATV and SxS season begins Northshore trail riding season hits its stride in spring. Pre-season oil changes, safety inspections, and tire service in February and March put your machine in shape for the best riding months. The pre-season combo offer (oil change + 30-point inspection) is the right service package for this window. 

June–August: Heat and cooling system stress Louisiana summer is harder on liquid-cooled machines than most riders appreciate. The free coolant system check we add to summer oil changes exists because we see cooling system issues every August that started with neglected fluid. If your machine is liquid-cooled and hasn’t had a coolant inspection this year — now is the time. 

September–October: Fall riding season and WaveRunner season close Second-best riding window of the year on the Northshore. Also when WaveRunner owners should start thinking about winterization. Getting your WaveRunner winterized in October — before the cold snap that sends everyone in at once — means no wait, and the fall winterization discount applies. 

October–November: WaveRunner winterization window Slots fill. Every year. Riders who wait until the first freeze warning in November find two-to-three week waits. Schedule in October when you’re done for the season, take the discount, and start spring with a machine that’s been properly stored. 

December–January: Quiet season — great for repair and upgrade work The slowest window in our service schedule. If you have repair or diagnostic work that’s been deferred, or accessories you want installed before next season, this is the window with the fastest turnaround. The 10% new customer discount applies year-round and is particularly easy to act on when the schedule isn’t competitive. uth, Fly Racing Youth, and Bell Youth. If you’re buying a youth machine — budget the gear at the same time, not as an afterthought. 

What’s Not a Special — And Why That’s Honest 

A few things we intentionally don’t offer as specials because doing so would create the wrong incentive: 

We don’t discount warranty work. Warranty repairs are performed to manufacturer specifications, submitted to the manufacturer for reimbursement, and priced accordingly. There’s nothing to discount — the work is covered. 

We don’t offer specials that require you to decline the written quote. Every service at Friendly starts with a quote you approve before work begins. A coupon that only applies if you waive your right to a quote isn’t a coupon — it’s a trap. Ours don’t work that way. 

We don’t run “today only” pressure specials. The offers on this page have seasonal windows or are ongoing. They’re not designed to make you feel like you have to decide in the next five minutes.

Show this page on your phone or mention the offer name at check-in. The discount appears on your invoice. That’s it. 

No coupon code. No printout required. No expiration date games. If an offer has expired, it comes off this page. If it’s here, it’s active.

Riders from Picayune, Waveland, Pearlington, Poplarville, and Pearl River County who purchased from us — or who bring their machines to us for service regardless of purchase origin — are eligible for every current offer.

For customers traveling more than 30 minutes, we work to have machines diagnosed and quoted quickly so you can make decisions about repair scope before you leave — minimizing the number of trips required.
